Karen Roodman Core Pilates of Pilates of Richmond, LLC was founded by Karen. She started her career in movement at the young age of four, studying ballet, tap and jazz until her middle teens. As a young adult, she continued studying dance which ultimately led her to pursue a certification with AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). Karen taught all types of movement classes for over twenty years. Through study and research, she came upon Pilates. She resonated with the principles of Pilates and the emphasis it places on proper biomechanics for optimal outcomes. Karen has earned multiple certifications from both the Pilates Certification Center in Raleigh, NC, as well as STOTT Pilates, where she earned certifications in mat, reformer (through the advanced level) and complete apparatus training. Karen has a special interest in anatomy and is an alumnus of the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries (FAMI) workshop in New York City where she spent four days at Mt. In July, 2010, Karen attended Balanced Body University's "Pilates on Tour" in Chicago, IL furthering her study of anatomy, biomechanics, Pilates repetroire and more. Her greatest talents are her creativity in the classroom and her sincere interest in helping all of her clientele.

Sandi PriceSandi Price has been devoted to exercise and training for more than 15 years. In the early 1990s, Sandi’s two boys were avid soccer players. In 1992 Sandi became a licensed USSF soccer coach, and dedicated her time to developing the skills of the kids. It was her first taste of coaching and training folks into shape and she loved it.
In 1997, Sandi broke her leg and throughout the long recovery, and became very deconditioned. Shortly after this injury, Sandi began taking pilates and resonated with the fundamentals of the methodology. In 2005 she started the teacher training program with STOTT PILATES and successfully completed her entire certification on both mat and apparatus. Concurrently, Sandi became an instructor for the Arthritis Foundation and the YMCA, where she worked with a variety of individuals and varying skill levels.
Sandi’s philosophy is, when it comes to your body: you’re never done learning. Regardless of the level of the client, Sandi’s main focus is to improve technique to maximize results. That, teamed with her buoyant personality, makes training with Sandi an enjoyable and rewarding experience
