The Pilates apparatus are wonderful and dynamic ways to gain core strength, and overall strength with spring loaded resistance. The equipment offers a supportive environment using springs to add resistance to many diverse and fun exercises. Our studio uses all Balanced Body equipment which are top of the line manufactured machines. We offer private appointments, duets (two students with one teacher) and group equipment classes.

Group Equipment Classes
Core Pilates offers group equipment classes on an individual class basis (no series or packages offered). Participants can register for classes through the classes tab. When making your purchase for group equipment classes, please make sure you complete this process by choosing your class selections. Students have 50 days to schedule/attend classes before they expire. The cost of an equipment class (all types) is $33 per class.

Newcomers to the apparatus (reformer and all equipment) must have a minimum of two private instructional hours prior to integrating into group classes. Periodically, we offer an Introduction to the Reformer class, which can count as one of the instructional hours for Reformer level 1 classes. Circuit class participants must have experience on all apparatus prior to signing up for this class type. We recommend private instruction to accomplish this prerequisite.

Group Equipment Class Types

• Introduction to the Reformer
  Newcomers... this class is for you! Experience the reformer and understand how this wonderful and diversified machine can effectively put the pilates principles into your body. This class is intended for those who have never been on the reformer.
• Reformer I
  For the beginner to the Reformer. The prerequisite for this class is some experience with the refomer so there is familiarity with this piece of equipment as well as evidence that the pilates principles are apparent in the execution of the exercises.
• Reformer II
  For the Intermediate individual who has had experience on the reformer and is competent with pilates principles and repertoire.
• Circuit
  The circuit class will use the reformers, cadillac and combo stability chair - all integrated into one class with rotation at each "station." This class is for the experienced student.

Classes fill on a first come, first served basis, with waitlist opportunities. Please frequent our website for registration and waitlist status. An auto email will be sent when waitlist status is upgraded to class participation.

Equipment Class Cancellations
If a participant is unable to attend a pre-registered class, it is necessary for the participant to "early cancel" themselves from the class. There is a 30 day period for a class to be reassigned to another selection. If a participant does not show up for class, a late cancel fee will be assigned (cost of one class). If a class has only one person registered in it, the class will be cancelled and the fee will be credited to the participant for future use. Core Pilates will contact participants if a class cancellation will occur.

Private sessions (working one on one with a teacher) are an excellent way to have custom programming as well as great attention to specific musculoskeletal needs and concerns. Our teachers are knowledgeable and helpful with technique, inspiration of the work and creative with the selection and presentation of all recommended exercises.

A duet is when two people work with one teacher. Duets are a fun and economical way to experience the equipment. Core Pilates does not match students together for duets - it is the responsibility of each student to find a partner with similar availability and ability; however, we do have a Duet Database for students to use to post their requests and exchange contact information with others who are seeking duet sessions. Click here to fill out the online form to be added to our Duet Database.

Duets must be scheduled by calling our studio at 804.422.CORE (2673). You are encouraged to complete our online Duet Registration form for participation in duets. You can purchase duets online, but must schedule them by phone.
